W.&E. Radtke is a wholesale plant nursery in Germantown, Wisconsin. When they came to us, they had a very basic and outdated website that primarily served their existing customers. Along with their new website came some pretty big goals.

They weren’t looking to simply remain competitive in their current market, but first and foremost they were looking to expand their market. At the time, most of their current customers were local landscapers and garden centers just outside Milwaukee. With their new site, they wanted to establish themselves as a Midwest wholesale grower serving Wisconsin, Upper Michigan and northern Illinois near Chicago. Their second goal was to increase awareness for their brands to create a retail demand for their plants. And lastly, they were looking to educated visitors. They wanted to educate them on their growing heritage and best practices but also share their passion for growing with other gardeners.

As a bit of larger site with lots of different pages and media that included pdfs, password protected pages, FlippingBook virtual catalogues, we decided WordPress would be the best platform as it allows for easy integration and management of all these things and began creating their custom WordPress website. Their old site left a lot of room for new creative and updated branding, but we wanted to keep it clean and simple and use plant photos to steal the focus and brighten the pages. We brought in our search engine optimization team to preform keyword research and SEO to make sure the right terms were being targeted to help improve their search result rankings.
