New eCommerce Website for Patriot Products

Keith, the president of Patriot Products, approached me about a new eCommerce website design around the middle of 2018. Their old website was outdated and had several issues, the most troubling of which was that it was reliant on a separate website for mobile traffic. Having a separate site for mobile traffic is no longer the best practice. So, we were looking at a complete web design overhaul.

I love the story of Patriot Products. It was founded in 1992 when five employees left the lawn equipment company they were working for to start their own venture. They had a dream of building a better wood chipper at an affordable price and they did, along with much more, which from a web design standpoint, created a few unique challenges.

The first being their large catalogue of wood chippers, lawn vacuums, parts and accessories. The second was the company’s huge reliance on organic traffic. Over the years Patriot Products had carefully curated high search engine rankings for key search terms. This meant that VERY special care was needed to incorporate SEO into the web design and development to ensure as minimal a temporary drop in rankings as possible.

The end result is a stunning new eCommerce site that should guarantee continued SEO strength and substantially increased conversion.
