Industrial Website Redesign for Oberlin

Oberlin Filter is a filtration solution provider from Pewaukee, Wisconsin. They’ve been in business since 1964 with their one-of-a-kind filtration system that can be adapted for many applications from hot oil to chemical processing. Their website wasn’t doing their innovative, adaptable filtration system justice with a cluttered navigation and an outdated design.

They turned to Matt Gerber Designs for a website redesign. We have extensive experience working with industrial manufactures and can breakdown and organize complicated products into user-friendly, easy to understand websites. Balancing technical jargon with proven sales tactics, we created an effective sales piece that communicates the value of their filters and speaks to their target market.

We began by updating the top navigation bar, making it more prominent and simplifying it by adding a drop-down menu for their various applications. Then we focused on creating a large banner that simplified their abilities and showcased their product. We bulked up the homepage copy adding more highlights of their expertise and capabilities and large section dedicated to applications. We kept the blue from their logo and used lots of white space balanced with a yellow to draw the user’s eye to the various calls to action.
