WooCommerce Website for Hiawatha Hobbies

Hiawatha Hobbies is Wisconsin’s largest full-line general hobby & model railroading store. They have a long history in Wisconsin and a loyal local customer base but wanted a more impactful presence in the online market. This led them to Matt Gerber Designs and as a fellow Lake Country business, we were thrilled at the opportunity to refresh their website.

We gave the website an updated look and feel, keeping their black and red branding. We kept the copy on the homepage simple, keeping the focus on their products but making sure to touch on their long history and size to help instill buying confidence. We found the easiest and most convenient way to sort their vast inventory was by category and called out the most popular in the main navigation as well as with large icons on the homepage. We also included the store address, hours, phone number and a convenient location map for local shoppers.

To create a seamless, user-friendly and secure shopping experience, we built the website in WordPress using WooCommerce for the ecommerce portion. Visitors can buy with confidence through the easy-to-use and secure checkout and Hiawatha Hobbies can enjoy the easy-to-use interface to keep their inventory up to date.
