Custom Website for GreySource

GreySource is a certified DEI recruitment agency that focuses on eliminating age bias and matching more experienced job seekers with employment opportunities. Since nearly all job postings, applications and searches are done online, principal and founder Kim Anderson knew to really start her new business, she needed a reliable, professional website. 

And that’s were we come in. Kim hired us, Matt Gerber Designs, to design and develop the first website for her new business. It can seem like a daunting task when you’re not redesigning something that already exists but creating something entirely new that’s never been done before. For us it’s really very exciting and we were honored that Kim entrusted this job to us. 

We began like we always do, getting to know the client, their company, their goals and their target audience, so that we can develop a custom website that hits on every level. A new business’s first website is more than a first impression, it’s an online debut. And just as much as Kim, we wanted everything to be perfect.

We utilized a blue and grey color palette, photos that depicted their target clients and incorporated elements of their logo throughout the site for an extremely professional and put together look and feel. We added a few dynamic elements as well as an embedded video to grab the visitor’s attention and guide them through the pages. We made the navigation as clear as possible, opting to use “For Job Seekers” and “For Hiring Managers” rather than abbreviated versions that may have left some ambiguity. And while we were waiting for the official launch, we put up a “coming soon” landing page with a link to sign up for their email list to build excitement and make sure they didn’t miss out on any leads.
