Custom Responsive HTML Website for Farmhouse Style
In early 2018, as a part of my ongoing work with Annie’s Publishing, we started talking about their new magazine that would be soon be launching. The magazine was Farmhouse Style. It’s a fun magazine with design tips and DIY projects for homeowners hoping to achieve a vintage farmhouse feel for their home’s décor as well as heartwarming stories about county living and the occasional recipe.
In addition to many other marketing materials Matt Gerber Designs created for Annie’s Publishing, we designed and coded this custom, responsive HTML website for the magazine. It was a small, but rather complex website that needed to accomplish several goals.
First and foremost, the website needed to sell subscriptions to the magazine. Making a preview of the current and past issues important as well as a “subscribe now” call to action. In addition to selling subscriptions, the site also needed options for subscription renewal, gifting, single issue purchase and wholesale. They needed an incentive for people to visit the site, so they added giveaways and a free newsletter signup. Then they also wanted the website to be profitable on its own, so they wanted to be able to sell ad space. Additionally, the website needed to be user-friendly on any device, meaning they needed a mobile responsive web design.
The best way to accomplish this was with a custom HTML website. You can view the website we designed and developed here: https://farmhousestylemag.com.
