eCommerce Store & Portfolio Design for Clyde Caldwell

Clyde Caldwell is an incredible fantasy illustrator—most famous for his work done for TSR and various fantasy authors. More recently he’s been doing mostly private commission work along with the occasional personal painting.

So when he and his wife Sharon approached me in early 2016 to redesign his website, it need to not only function as his online store, but also as his portfolio.

With so many amazingly detailed and colorful pieces of art to showcase, the design of the website needed to compliment his talents without cluttering them. There also needed to be a separation between his portfolio gallery and the products he had for sale. A lot of thought went into the design and functionality of this eCommerce site.

The end-result perfectly marries his brilliant artistry with the latest in eCommerce website design best-practices for a website that will last for years to come!
