Restaurant Website for Belfre Kitchen

Belfre Kitchen is a local restaurant in Delafield, WI. They are a staple in the community, not only because they are located in The Steeple, but also because of their warm, welcoming charm and delicious, fresh food. Unfortunately, most of the ambiance that makes Belfre Kitchen so well loved was missing from their website, and we were thrilled when the owner, Amy, reached out to us for a new design.

We knew it wasn’t going to be easy to capture all the good vibes and delicious food, but in the end we were able to do just that. We started with a complete redesign of the homepage. We filled the top of the page with a large image of their beautiful, fresh food and added quick click buttons for reservations and ordering to go. Then below, we added a spot of copy that set the tone for welcoming patrons and another that talked up their food. Community and their partnerships are incredibility important to them, so we added callouts for them to the homepage as well. 

We kept the cool blue color scheme from their old website, even using the same background image just enlarged to create consistency but a less busy and more laid-back feel and added lots of bright images to pop against the cool background. We also cleaned up their navigation, removing unnecessary pages and adding carrots to signal drop down menus. We added buttons for reservations and to go orders at the top and bottom of every page, making it easy for web visitors to become restaurant patrons.
