Custom WooCommerce Website for Avid Sports Jewelry

Avid Sports Jewelry is a Wisconsin-based company specializing in luxury sports-themed jewelry. They sell classy, sophisticated jewelry with subtle sports themes and genuine gemstones online and in a few select retail locations in Wisconsin’s Lake Country area. They had a Shopify website, but it was outdated and no longer meeting the expectations of their ideal customer.

Outdated imagery and a clunky checkout experience wasn’t exactly instilling confidence in buyers. They came to us looking for a new eCommerce website that would take their online store to the next level. This wasn’t jewelry for the average sports fan, but the die-hard avid fans who wanted to represent their team not only when they were at the game but all the time. And they needed a luxury website with an online store to match the quality of their jewelry and the expectations of their buyers.

We chose the blue and gold from one of the local high school’s team colors for the website’s color scheme, bringing local team spirit to the site. The imagery focused on the fans as much as the jewelry, because for their target it’s as much about the experience as it is the product. We used clean white space and bold buttons to draw visitors to the shopping portion of the site as well as added a contact form to the bottom of the page to capture as many leads as possible. But the biggest and most impactful change we made was moving the eCommerce site to WordPress’s WooCommerce.

WooCommerce is a customizable, open-source eCommerce platform that can turn any WordPress website into a fully functioning online store. It’s flexible and scalable, simple to install and use, offers advance security, configurable shipping options, secure payments. More importantly, it provided the seamless online shopping experience their target audience was accustomed to and provided peace of mind to buyers.
