Church Website Design for Ascension

Ascension Lutheran Church is a growing church community in Waukesha, Wisconsin that we had the pleasure of working with on their website redesign. They had a website that offered basic information about their church, but the way people worship and go to church had recently shifted. Less was being done in person, so they needed their website to do more. They found adding these new features to their old site difficult. It became cluttered, slow and harder to navigate. It just wasn’t fully capable of delivering all the additional information and services that their current and prospective new members now wanted to find online. 

We had previous experience designing and developing church websites and understood some of the challenges Ascension Lutheran Church was facing. We talked through their needs and simplified the navigation, cleaned up with homepage and made sure the most important information had a permanent place to live. We built their custom church website using WordPress as this platform made it easy to integrate and update their site with their sermon videos, Google events calendar, ministry newsletters, donation collection and new membership forms. We updated the look of the site with a slightly more modern feel that would appeal to new, younger members, while still maintaining the integrity and branding of the previous site. Most importantly, their new website will be able to expand and grow with them as their congregation and their congregation’s online demands grow.
