Business Website Redesign for Preferred Hardwoods

Preferred Hardwoods supplies high quality moulding and millwork to builders and retail centers for luxury homes and commercial buildings. Based out of Richfield, Wisconsin, they work with cabinet shops, millwork distributors, lumber yards and store fixture manufacturers throughout the Midwest. With decades of industry experience and a truly high-end product with custom capabilities, they needed to redesign their business website. 

Their old website was outdated and just wasn’t doing enough to set them apart and capture their capabilities. So they came to Matt Gerber Designs looking for a fresh, new website for their business. We began by redesigning the website’s the look and feel, really calling out the quality of their work with clean, fresh images. We used a stunning blue, paired with the gold from their logo to really elevate the website. We paired lots of white space with woodgrain textures to add a little character and charm for an artistic and inspiring look that was still very professional.  

In addition to the refined and updated redesign, we restructured their navigation to update it for today’s consumer and really highlight the direction their business has grown. Even though they still deal mainly with builders and distributors, they understood how important getting their name in front of the end user is in today’s savvy market. We featured their products as well as their profiles and custom capabilities in the main nav and provided search engine optimization to help increase their exposure.
